Come For a Walk
If you are happy with a longer stroll, walking is a straightforward way to get there and lets you see more of the city. Start at Flinders Street Station and head north up Swanston Street. Continue straight past Melbourne Central and RMIT. Once you reach Victoria Street, turn left and walk west until you reach Bouverie Street. Turn right and walk north a short distance to numbers 168 to 170. It will take around 20 to 25 minutes at a steady pace, and it is completely free.A Quick Tram Ride
This is usually the easiest option. From Flinders Street Station, walk to the Swanston Street tram stops and catch any northbound tram, such as routes 1, 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 or 72. Travel up Swanston Street and get off at the Victoria Street stop near RMIT University. From there, walk west along Victoria Street for a few minutes, then turn right onto Bouverie Street. Continue north until you reach 168 to 170. The tram trip takes about 10 minutes, plus a short walk at the end. The journey is mostly within the Free Tram Zone, but Victoria Street is just outside the northern boundary, so you may need a valid myki if travelling beyond the free area.POST OFFICE
